چکیده
The aim of this research was to study the impact using a short fiber-reinforced composite (SFRC) core on fatigue performance and fracture behavior direct large posterior restorations. Moreover, influence consistency (flowable or packable) occlusal coverage assessed. A total 100 intact molars were collected randomly distributed into five groups (n = 20). Deep mesio-occlusal-distal (MOD) cavities prepared in all groups. After adhesive treatment rebuilding missing interproximal walls with conventional composite, specimens four experimental restored by an SFRC (everX Flow), which applied cured either bulk oblique layers (each 2 mm thick). Packable (G-aenial Posterior) flowable Injectable) composites used as final layer. control group only packable composite. Fatigue survival measured for cyclic loading machine until occurred 25,000 cycles achieved. Kaplan–Meyer analyses conducted, followed pairwise log-rank post hoc comparisons. static load-bearing capacity surviving teeth tested universal testing machine. Fracture patterns evaluated visually. There no statistically significant (p > 0.05) difference terms between All showed significantly higher capacities compared < 0.05). differences regarding resistance among Regarding pattern during analysis, that received dominantly restorable type fracture, while presented non-restorable type. use reinforcing MOD restorations promising achievements behavior.

Fracture behavior of single-structure fiber-reinforced composite restorations
Objective: The applications of single-structure fiber-reinforced composite (FRC) in restorative dentistry have not been well reported. This study aimed to clarify the static mechanical properties of anterior crown restorations prepared using two types of single-structure FRC. Materials and methods: An experimental crown restoration was designed for an upper anterior incisor. The restorations we...
متن کاملShort Fiber Reinforced Composite: a New Alternative for Direct Onlay Restorations
OBJECTIVES To determine the static load-bearing capacity of direct composite onlay restorations made of novel filling composite resin system which combines short fiber-reinforced composite resin (FC) and conventional particulate filler composite resin (PFC). METHODS Three groups of onlay restorations were fabricated (n = 8/group); Group A: made from conventional particulate filler composite r...
متن کاملMicroleakage in combined amalgam/composite resin restorations in MOD cavities
Aim: To compare marginal seal at tooth-material and material-material interfaces in the proximal box in combined amalgam/composite resin restorations. Methods: Mesio-occlusal-distal (MOD) cavities were prepared in 35 premolars and permanent molars with carbide bur. The distal proximal box was restored with amalgam (Permite, SDI) until reaching the height of pulpal floor. Dental tissues were etc...
متن کاملFracture Behavior and Properties of Functionally Graded Fiber-Reinforced Concrete
In concrete pavements, a single concrete mixture design is selected to resist mechanical loading without attempting to adversely affect the concrete pavement shrinkage, ride quality, or noise attenuation. An alternative approach is to design distinct layers within the concrete pavement surface which have specific functions thus achieving higher performance at a lower cost. The objective of this...
متن کاملFracture strengths of provisional restorations reinforced with plasma-treated woven polyethylene fiber.
STATEMENT OF PROBLEM Fracture strength of interim fixed partial prosthesis is of great concern, especially in long-span restorations or areas of heavy occlusal stress. PURPOSE Effects of a plasma-treated woven polyethylene fiber (Ribbond) on the fracture strength of polymethyl methacrylate (Coldpac) and a resin-based two-phase curing provisional restorative material (Provipont DC) were evalua...
